Ethics in the Workplace

In today's organization, what needs to be done to ensure that employees act appropriately and make wise decisions? This workshop will help management and employees to think, reason, and act responsibly when dealing with both internal and external customers, associates and colleagues. This workshop will cover why we need ethics in the workplace, what shapes behaviors, identifying situations that could be triggers for litigation, handling ethical dilemmas, how to deal with all types of ethical workplace situations, and ensuring the highest standards for ethical behavior.

Human Motivation

This workshop will help individuals understand the diversity of today's workforce, how to better understand themselves, what motivates employees to achieve at optimal levels, how to best reward and recognize achievements, and link individual performance to organizational goals. The seven actions of success will be reviewed and an Influencing Profile will be administered to each participant to gauge their effectiveness in understanding how to influence others. Maslow's Needs Hierarchy Model will also be used to specifically explain how to motivate ourselves and others based on levels of intrinsic and extrinsic needs in the hierarchy.

Leadership & Management

When placed in a position of authority, or in a position where you have others working for you or with you, you have to be able to handle that responsibility using a set of unique competencies. Participants will learn the eight competencies required for leadership, how to better manage all of their responsibilities, how to inspire followers, how to better lead and mange teams to achieve goals, and how to realize their fullest potential as an inspirational leader.

Learning to Lead

This workshop will review the challenges of leadership. It will help individuals in gaining a perspective on how to lead groups, to become more aware of their personal leadership style and different ways management can choose to motivate diverse work groups. The Dimensions of Leadership Instrument is used to help individuals understand their leadership style and how to use this information to better meet the needs of those they serve.

Managers as Mentors

Research has shown that companies that have formalized mentoring programs experience higher retention rates, savings in turnover costs, and increased levels of productivity. Through pairing high performing employees with knowledgeable and experienced managers, employees will be able to nurture their strengths and capabilities. This workshop will help managers understand the mentoring relationship and components, how to develop a program, and provide tools for immediate implementation. A mentoring tool kit will be provided for each participant.

Organization & Time Management

Learn effective organizational and time management skills to achieve greater productivity, balance and success. Participants will learn how to use a time management system effectively and how to better organize all the events in their life. Concepts reviewed will include aligning goals with planning, understanding the control factor, and the difference between an urgency and a priority. Each participant will complete a Time Management Profile that will measure their effectiveness in the seven areas of time management effectiveness. These areas include temperament, preparation, organizational ability, stress management, delegation, managing interruptions, and results orientation. Using this information, best practices will be reviewed and an action plan developed to help increase effectiveness in all areas.

Performance Management

Do you know how to hold employees accountable? Do your employees know the mission of your organization and how their daily actions contribute to the success or failure of goals? Participants will learn how to develop a fair, consistent, and valid performance management system. The importance of alignment, understanding impact and outcome measures, how to ensure all employees are working towards the company's strategic objectives, and providing a process of accountability will be reviewed.
