Negotiations & Conflict Management
Getting along with co-workers, your boss, your subordinates, and customers is not always an easy feat. If you have the right frame of mind and techniques to use when dealing with others, it will greatly reduce stress and tension in the workplace. Each participant will complete a Conflict Style Profile that will review and evaluate the five possible reactions for dealing with conflict and what behavior is most likely based on personality. Participants will learn how to adapt, confront, and deal with difficult situations and people, in order to achieve a win-win situation during conflict resolution. This will not only increase performance effectiveness but also strengthen relationships as well.
Negotiations For Results
Using a Negotiations Profile, participants will learn about the four Negotiating Styles and their dominant style. Participants will discover the art of negotiations, how to better use their individual style to achieve effective outcomes, and the 10-step process to use every time they engage in persuasive communications. Individuals will learn about analyzing situations to determine where they have power, where there is room for negotiating, and depending on the situation, what strategy will be best.
Public Speaking
Do you train, facilitate or speak in front of groups? In this lively, interactive workshop, participants will learn how adults process information, the elements of a successful presentation, how to use visuals appropriately, how to present with confidence, and how to connect with an audience every time group communication occurs. Participants will learn about the verbal and non-verbal components of public speaking and how to engage and inspire an audience. The second phase of the workshop participants will have an opportunity to hone their public speaking skills, present in front of a group, and critique their performance through videotape of the event.
Understanding Learning Styles
All individuals evaluate, process, and retain information by various methods and approaches. If you need to train, coach, develop or manage individuals, it is important to understand where people's general preferences or natural learning "biases" might occur. Using the Learning Style Questionnaire, participants will assess their preference for learning and understand the four ways of how people learn in the areas of attending, translating, relating, and understanding.
